Pest problems (weed and insect) will generally be treated on a spot application basis. The process takes more time at each visit, but will economize weed and insect control use. This is a component of integrated pest management (IPM). During each visit, we will evaluate your lawn and make recommendations for proper care.

Safeguard Program
Four visits per year: 1st - Spring, 2nd - Early Summer, 3rd - Late Summer, 4th - Fall
Fertilization and evaluation is provided with each visit. We use both traditional and organic-based fertilizers in both liquid and granular form. Natural organic fertilizers are available upon request at an additional cost. Service calls are free of charge with this program, provided the service is not interrupted. The following are included and will be used — as needed — at each visit:
- Spring crabgrass pre-emergence
- Crabgrass post-emergence (if spring treatment was made)
- Surface insect control
- Curative grub control
- Broadleaf control
Watchguard Program
Choose the visits that best suit your needs: 1st - Spring, 2nd - Early Summer, 3rd - Late Summer, 4th - Fall
This program is for the larger lawns or to meet special budget needs. With the Watchguard program, you can monitor the lawn between visits and call for additional service if needed. Traditional mineral fertilizers are the standard with this program. Natural organic fertilizers are available upon request and at an additional cost. The following are included and will be used as needed:
- Spring crabgrass pre-emergence
- Broadleaf control
- Insect controls — available for an extra charge
NOTE: This program is not likely to provide the recommended level of nutrients needed by your turf. Please expect the appearance to be at a lower level than that of the Safeguard program.
Natural Organic Program
Four visits per year: 1st - Spring, 2nd - Early Summer, 3rd - Late Summer, 4th - Fall
This program is recommended only for improved lawns with few weeds. Strictly natural organic fertilizers are used. Insect and weed control are available upon request and there may be an additional charge. This program can be adjusted to meet your needs.
